Course Content
Intro to Tactical Medicine – This lesson will emphasize the differences between the security arena and civilian care, as well as the development of TCCC.

Planning the Security Operation – Understand the core medical issues while planning and preparing for security operations with regards to assessment, equipment and protocols.

Enemy Modus Operandi – Trainees will learn the enemy’s modes of attack and how this applies to the medical treatment, while also learning about the mechanism of the hits.

Care Under Fire (CUF) – We will cover the issues of fire supremacy, moving a casualty under fire, giving first body aid, communicating under fire, extracting under fire and the usage of tourniquets as a fundamental component at this stage. CUF training is hands-on and is accompanied with practical scenarios.

Tactical Field Care (TFC) – Learn to assess consciousness, establish priorities, airway management, treat chest trauma, control bleeding and provide tactical care in situations such as: hypothermia, burns, penetrating eye injury and more.

Medical Risk Assessment – Included in the planning stage, trainees will learn how assess the medical scenarios that may appear during the detail’s visit.

The Medical Team – Trainees will learn the role of the combatants and how they should work as synchronized medical team.

Preparing a Tactical Medical Kit –Trainees will learn how to prepare their individual kits, whether for domestic or international missions.

MedEvac – The roles of the medical evacuation rescue team, how the field team passes the casualty to the next level and principles of radio communication.

The Advance Agent Medical Role – For CP missions, trainees will learn the role of the advance agent from a medical perspective and understand what is important to review in pre-meetings regarding the detail.

Emergency Situation Care – It is possible the care required within the security arena is composed of an emergency situation. Trainees will learn to treat some of the following extreme conditions: cardiac arrest, stroke, M.I., loss of consciousness, hypoglycemia and seizures.

Scenario Based Simulation – Practical scenarios based on high relativity of occurring on the battlefield, requiring difficult tactical/medical decisions, or that require a major departure from standard civilian practice. The three main Stages of Scenario based simulations are:

1. Choosing a scenario based on the needs of the unit.
2. Simulation – using highly experienced instructors and state-of-the-art medical simulation equipment
3. Debriefing by M-Tacs experts
